Board approves mixed-use development at former Weymouth Honda site

Board of Zoning Appeals · Meeting of January 28, 2026

Weymouth Board of Zoning Appeals approves mixed-use development at former Honda dealership. Weymouth Main Street LLC won unanimous board approval to construct a grocery store and drive-through coffee facility on the 90,824-square-foot property at 211 Main Street. The applicant received a variance to reduce the required front setback from 30 feet to 12.8 feet, citing the lot's unusual shape.

Chair Kemal Denizkurt noted the applicant's modifications included new turn lanes, pedestrian signals, and a one-year traffic monitoring program. Vice Chair Jonathan Moriarty supported the project but expressed concerns about potential vacancy, which the applicant addressed through occupancy maintenance conditions.
