WEYMOUTH — Ordinance Committee advanced three waterways, traffic and solicitor measures to Town Council with unanimous votes. Measure 26 066 revises Chapter 12 Waterways ordinance implementing the Hanson-Milone Act of 2024, mandating boater safety certificates and establishing a minimum age of 16 for jet ski operation. Two additional measures establishing a 20 mile per hour speed limit on River Street and updating canvasser regulations advanced with favorable action.

Two other measures on procurement thresholds and stormwater management, the latter facing an EPA compliance deadline of September 30, 2026, are scheduled for public hearings June 1.
