WEYMOUTH — The Weymouth Scholarship Fund Committee unanimously amended two scholarship awards on June 23, with Chairperson Virginia Snell reporting the Weymouth Garden Club had increased its contribution, prompting the committee to raise the award from $3,000 to $5,000. The committee also discovered it should have selected both a new and renewal recipient for the D'Alcomo Scholarship but had only awarded renewal; the sponsor requested a new candidate, preferably an education major. Cynthia Page moved to amend both awards; all seven members unanimously approved.
The Eagles scholarship will convert to a Weymouth Scholarship Fund only award because Eagles did not pay this year.
