School Committee approves $100K Alison Trust gift for CTE students

Weymouth School Committee unanimously accepts $100K Alison Trust gift for high school CTE and music scholarships. The donation, signed by the Mayor in mid-December and approved by Town Council, will be managed by WHS Principal Monahan and enable students to pursue higher education and skills training. The committee also unanimously approved two overnight field trips: the Model UN team to Washington, DC, in February and the Robotics team to Houston in late April.
Superintendent Melanie Curtin laid out a budget timeline running through May, with primary school FY27 proposals due February 4, a public hearing set for March 12, and Town Council presentation May 12.
