Weymouth School Committee welcomes new members, reorganizes subcommittees for fiscal year ahead. The committee held an organizational "Meeting of the Whole" on January 8 to establish structure and procedures. Chair Tracey Nardone led assignment of leadership across subcommittees including Athletics (co-chaired by Mary-Ellen Devine and Kelly McClean), Budget (Danielle Graziano), Collective Bargaining (Nardone, Cynthia Lyons, Ashley Dickerman), and Policy (Devine).
Future meetings will move to Town Council Chambers. Superintendent Melanie Curtin noted a permanent position offer is coming for the interim Athletic Director. Community advocate Perez urged transparency as the district faces a challenging FY27 budget.
