Weymouth Public Schools Opens 2026 Back-to-School Guide
Weymouth Public Schools has rolled out its 2026 Back to School Guide, giving families a single online hub for key dates, transportation details and school schedules as the new year approaches. Kindergarten families will receive additional orientation information on Aug. 21, with the district's first day for staff set for Sept. 1 and most students returning the following week.
SCHOOLS
The district posted its 2026 Back to School Guide on Aug. 14, consolidating important dates, transportation details and school schedules into one online resource, according to Weymouth Public Schools. Kindergarten families will get further orientation details on Aug. 21 ahead of Kindergarten Orientation itself, which is set for Sept. 3.
The district's calendar shows staff report Sept. 1, followed by a no-school staff development day Sept. 2. Grades 1 through 6 and grade 9 begin Sept. 3 on an early release day, while kindergarten, grades 7 and 8, and grades 10 through 12 begin a full day of school Sept. 4. Schools are closed Sept. 7 for Labor Day, and pre-kindergarten begins Sept. 8.
The Weymouth School Committee has two sessions scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 20: a Weymouth School Committee MOW/MASC Workshop at 4 p.m. and a regular committee meeting at 6 p.m., both at Weymouth Town Hall, 75 Middle Street.

The town's Summer Concert Series continues Wednesday, Aug. 19, according to the town calendar, offering residents another evening of outdoor music before the season winds down.
