The commission unanimously issued an order of conditions for the town's lower central interceptor sewer replacement project, with requirements for revised planting and dewatering plans and a commitment from the Department of Public Works to replant roughly 100 trees to be removed during construction. A three-year extension of a permit for 15-17 Front Street was granted to 2027, matching a timeline already approved by Braintree, which holds jurisdiction over an associated stream; attorney Gregory Galvin represented owner Michael McGaugh, citing a two-year delay caused by a zoning appeal. The commission voted 3-0, with two abstentions, to confirm the 2024 Whitman's Pond annual work plan, which includes herbicide treatment in West Cove, conforms with existing permit conditions; the two members who abstained said they had voted against the herbicide component of the underlying five-year order and could not in good conscience rule on its conformance.
