Weymouth Town Council Unanimously Approves $115,497 Insurance Reserve Transfer
WEYMOUTH — January 3, 2023 — Weymouth Town Council opened 2023 with a unanimous $115,497 reserve fund transfer for insurance endorsements. Meeting for the first time in the new year on January 3, the council voted 9-0 on Measure 22-140, which moves funds from the town's FY23 reserve account to cover added insurance endorsements — costs submitted on behalf of Mayor Robert Hedlund. Vice President Malise, who chairs the Budget Management Committee, reported the committee had met in chambers at 7:15 p.m. the same evening, reviewed the measure, and voted favorable action before bringing it to the full body. Two councilors, Belmash and Berger, were absent; DeFazio and Kiley joined remotely via Zoom. The council also approved minutes from November and December meetings, both 9-0, before adjourning.
