Weymouth Town Council Unanimously Approves $115,497 Insurance Reserve Transfer
WEYMOUTH -- January 3, 2023, Weymouth Town Council opened 2023 with a unanimous $115,497 reserve fund transfer for insurance endorsements. Meeting for the first time in the new year on January 3, the council voted 9-0 on Measure 22-140, which moves funds from the town's FY23 reserve account to cover added insurance endorsements, costs submitted on behalf of Mayor Robert Hedlund. Vice President Malise, who chairs the Budget Management Committee, reported the committee had met in chambers at 7:15 p.m. the same evening, reviewed the measure, and voted favorable action before bringing it to the full body. Two councilors, Belmash and Berger, were absent; DeFazio and Kiley joined remotely via Zoom. The council also approved minutes from November and December meetings, both 9-0, before adjourning.
